Next Reunion Lunch At Cap's - April 11

Just got word from Vinnie...He was wondering if y'all would be so kind as to send over a king-sized po-boy with a file in it....dressed with lettuce and some analgesic lotion for his throbbing ass.

I imagine y'all be ridin' eastbound past the obligatory (yet by-now rebuilt!) Adult Movie Sign! ;)

Tonight's midnight feature: the rerelease of an old classic! Alice Cooper and Chris Owens in Alice In Wonderglands! :D

Sgt. AH3RD from The Radio-Info BOARDS > RADIO STATES > Louisiana Traffic Camera Center! 8)

(Sorry...just had to get that outta my system! ;D)

Good one, AH. I'll ask T-Ben if he wants to hire you as a writer for him. :)

Actually the sign was rebuilt, but now instead of Adult Movies it says Adult Videos, which just never translated well into our act of "What's playing tonight at the Adult Movie sign??" Video is more of a "take home" situation, so we gave up on our sign, and then shot Ole Stumpy Boy and the Fat Lady who sang on our last day we were together. Don't freak...they were all just SFX. LOL

Does anyone know if Cap delivers...a little north of Baton Rouge?

What are clearly missing are facts. A little prep before you post about "V" murder. Excuse the metaphor to "C" murder which I couldn't pass up. Our dear friend has taken up residents at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, LA., actually a little south of Baton Rouge. How ironic he has a setback, health wise (heart attack) on the taxpayer's dime. He is resting comfortable thank you, in guarded condition, by guards at University Hospital in New Orleans. Correctional officers have noted he's been visited by a "Pal" reading him a bedtime story about a washed up, egoistical co-host slash friend who sold his buddy down-the-river for a last glimmer in the spotlight...be it 5 minutes on the stand and overexposed face time after the fact.

Kudos to keschjr for the great line about the analgesic lotion (I'm still laughing). I believe the only sandwiches he'll be enjoying after the stent surgery will be bologna per-boys.

Been a little quite on the lunch bunch post...I'll have to send a board-op over who claims to be able to eat everyone under the table. And that's probably the only thing he does well...eat, if that. Bon appetit.

Hello, all of you. Can't wait for April 11, it'll be the best yet. To all of my friends in my address book, I lost all of you. I've been without a computer for nearly two weeks. Please email me so I can start to get back. It was a devastating loss --- but I'm glad to be back. da Cap!

No it just gives everyone the time to jab him now that everything he used to claim has proven to be untrue

Why do some of you all have such an obsession with Vince Marinello. Other than him being in jail is there an inside joke or something. OK Moving on... :-

Thanks for reading! ;D

Sorry to detract from the Vince'ings... BTW, any word on whether brother 'Vance & The Valiums' is changing his first (stage) name, to avoid embarrassing resemblances? :D

Any hoo... got a call from Skinny Tom this past weekend, during which he handed off his car phone to Walter Morehead, who says he (Walter) definitely will be among our number. As we talked, we held an impromptu phone election (puts a whole new meaning on "just calling it in"), and Mr. Cheney was outvoted 2-1 on the motion to get his (not for years) skinny booty to Cap's in April. Anyone having pics embarrassing enough to provide better persuasion, please come forward.

No slight intended. That was an early update of the people who responded quickly after we sent out the second notice, the one of Easter Saturday. So I had to reset the attendees to zero until we heard from them a second time. I think your OK came in later after this post. I'll only be updating every few days, based upon responses I get and the ones posted on our reunion lunch Facebook site at:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=57751468668&ref=share

But here's where we stand on Saturday:
Wayne Watkins * Bob Walker * Harry Gish * Captain Humble * Scott Segraves * Blair * Mark Glynn * Don Lanassa * Doug Christian * Frank Davis * Buddy Burch, Beth Fury, Henry Harmison * SmashedCD * Nathan Ales * Phyllis Dillon & Jim * Dolph Federico * Gia Dermody * Don Banks * Ron Chatman * Ken Aucoin * Ross Shields * Mark Adams * more to come...

24 so far...not bad for 2 days!

Heard on TIX FM from Sgt T-Ben about da get together at Cap's and gave a good plug about Cap's Po-Boys, and Mike said that he will also be there on da 11th of April.

I'm recovering from falling on the floor --- a long day at the restaurant --- how many of you know what I mean? I thought so. I am remiss in posting this so late --- but nonetheless---- 'n to you outatowners who are having too much fun --- we are into the Mardi Gras HAPPY DAZE --- so, two points. Firstly, tomoro nite The Krewe of Selene begins in my end of town and proceeds past Captain Humble's, a marvelous place to settle in --- so if you'd like to, make us your station of comfort for Selene --- the only New Orleans style extravaganza that we have. It's glitzy, losa fun and very worth it. If you're going to be approaching the restaurant after 7-ish, come in from Spanish Trail and take the light before the one u'd nornally go to, then a right and u can park in the Winn Dixie parking lot and walk across to de Hum's. It's a doubleheader for me, because as I open Saturday, I will begin my 9th year! So an early Mardi Gras invite to be Hummin'. If you can, come and Party-gras ! Also, I'll be lookin' forward to my Mardi Gras Radio Rescussions with all of you outatown Radio Stars ::)! I miss you all. Luv, da Cap !

Sorry to hear that...scratch me from the list. Hope he chokes.

First of all, I'm glad you understand the beginning of my last post. Secondly, you are a mainstay of the Radio Lunches and your attendance is mandatory. We can't do it without you. Other newcomers would have to be thoroughly scrutinized by Bob Walker, the Weerd One and me. There are a couple of "attempted radio people" who will never be welcome there and would be denied admission. Be there, Blair --- or we'll come get you in your jammies and make everybody see your rubber duckie slippers!

This has absolutely nothing to do with the alleged topic -- as if I should turn 69 and start trying to become freakin' relevant! Just an update of something I mentioned a month or so ago on the "Why is this Board So Dead?" discussion. Because they're within 35 miles of this keyboard, I just jumped to Missouri. Feb 21st, they had two things, both discussing K-C format changes. Before those, the most recent activity had been Dec 17th.

Now, back to working up some righteous munchies for our pre-egg-hunt Cap's chowdown and social.

Soxless

Yeah you right Cap n' Soxless! Haven't seen most of ya'll in a year...I'm pumped---just a month away! Almost check in/head count time again Oldie King! Anybody kidnapping Skinny?
