NFL DRAFT COVERAGE

For the football fans out there, how do you plan to track the results of the draft tonight, tomorrow and over the weekend?

For radio: WGR? WECK? WEDG/97Rock?

For TV: ESPN? NFL Network?

Online: What websites (local or national) are the best to monitor?

TV: NFL Network, definitely.
Radio: They're all pretty bad. WGR is probably the best as Buscaglia at least puts some effort into knowing the players. WECK is TERRIBLE.

I thought we killed it. Bob Gaughan and Scott Wilson watch incredible amounts of college football, we had Joe Major out at the Stadium and a couple NFLers out with me at a pretty packed bar on Hertel.

I agree with you, Nick. Bob and Scott were great. You and Joe had nice contributions. I listened almost all night, and will again tonight.

I listened to a good 20 minutes of CAM NEWTON IS TERRIBLE GRRRR driving home. C'mon, man. Scott Wilson knows his stuff, though.

Well, Brad certainly does beat the "Cam stinks" drum hard, but it's what he's most passionate about with the entire draft. I was probably just as annoying with my "please take a fat guy" schtick. I love Scott. I'll admit that Brian Koziol over on WGR is excellent, too.

I retract my previous statement. Gaughan and Wilson were great with their knowledge of the 3rd round picks. I even learned stuff, and I'm a huge draft nerd. Good job. The PD should have stayed home.

I agree, leelee. Those two really know what they are talking about, as I mentioned above. Bob always was super impressive with the depth of his knowledge on GR, even though he wasn't my favorite when he was there.

WGR is cleaning up today, reviewing the first two days of the draft and tracking Day 3 with ongoing live coverage of the picks.

WECK? They are running Fox Sports Radio. Maybe they are doing top and bottom of the hour updates with the names of who the Bills picked, but I didn't stick around to listen.

WGR has had me locked in since around 8 o'clock Friday night. Koziol was excellent yesterday and J-White did great work talking about Cam Newton not going to the Bills. I listened to WECK a bit but for some reason the Sports Insiders show didn't air during its normal timeslot. Probably something to do with the schedules of the Buff News reporters, but where is Brad and Nick and Scott today?

After hosting 12-3 Thurs and Fri and being on location 6-Mid on both days, I was grateful to be able to reserve my opinions for Monday. I guess it's a matter of preference, but I can remember when I was in college and excited to hear what Howard said about the Sabres/Bills weekend on my drive to school Monday mornings. I'll admit that this weekend is a scenario where we'll be able to do that in the future. Can only grow a staff so fast.

Give us MORE of the Sports Insiders. They weren't on Monday because of the baseball game. When will they be on this week? We need to hear about the NFL Draft and don't tell me we have to wait until Saturday morning. It's old news by then!
