NFL Game In Miami Moved Up From Sunday To Friday

Due to the possibility of Hurricane Wilma striking Southern Florida on Sunday (October 23rd), the NFL game between the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs scheduled for Sunday in Miami will instead be played there tomorrow night (Friday, October 21st) at 7:05 P.M. EDT.

According to Broadcasting and Cable's website (registration may be required), the game will be seen on CBS affiliates in Miami, Kansas City, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers and Topeka. Had the game been able to have been played as scheduled, it would have been one of four regional telecasts CBS would have shown to various parts of the country at 1:05 P.M. EDT. CBS has the "doubleheader" this week; it also has four regional games scheduled to be broadcast at 4:15 P.M. EDT.

People in Wichita, Kansas (where I live) are calling the NFL to complain...they are showing as game one of the CBS doubleheader the Pittsburgh/Cincinnati game. The second game is the Denver/N.Y. Giants. But from what I heard, the game is still available on the NFL Sunday Ticket Package from DIRECTV. If that is true, a lot of sports bars in town will be showing it.
