NFL/NCAA FB sideline reporter face time question

Sideline reporters have never been very obtrusive to me. That said, I must ask:

Do contracts between the NFL and its telecasters, and the NCAA and its football telecasters, regulate or put a limit on how much time a sideline reporter can spend on air during a telecast? Or how often (s)he can be "gone down to" during the game? Inquiring minds want to know. Tell us, insiders.

There is not a minimum. CBS didn't use sideline except in the playoffs last year. Same for their NCAA basketball telecasts. Not sure about NCAA football.
