NGEN Radio is now live...

KSBJ in Houston launched their new HD-2 last night. I was at the TobyMac/Skillet concert in College Station (home of Texas A&M University) when Toby & John (from Skillet) pulled the switch to launch the new format.

I'm listening to it right now, available at www.ngenradio.com KSBJ has it on terrestrially on three of their HD-2 channels (KSBJ/Houston, KUBJ/Brenham, and KWUP/Navasota) as well as on 93.3FM in Bryan/College Station.

It's certainly targeted toward 12-34 year-olds with plenty of Rock, Hip-Hop & Rap, along with CCM CHR hits. Pretty exciting for those who've wanted something for the new generation of CCM listeners.

I don't think KUBJ has gone HD yet, as they only ID Humble and Navasota. It's on the transator in Brenham, which is presumably being fed by Navasota.

Although I'm still working on establishing a top notch quality based CCM Internet and/or Terrestrial radio station, for my area, hope your new station will do very well.

I'm rooting for it's success Mr. CCMDJ.

P.S. I'm ready for something fresh and exciting to hit my local airwaves. (Something like KSBJ, WAY FM and/or K-Love)  Too much boredom anyway.

Ngenradio is so much different than K-Love or Way FM, so I hope you are able to get a station online that will fit your musical tastes. I assume you don't have a K-Love station in your area.

On the other hand, there are a myriad of Christian online stations, including the one I operate, that may work for you. The station I operate is Lead Me To The Rock Radio, and another I can recommend is Bigloo Christian Radio. You might look to Solid Rock Radio if you have a CHR bent. Though not easily available through your car radio (it can be done, and will be much easier in the future once auto manufacturers realize it a very desirable option), online radio can be a very viable option for many listeners of AC, Inspo, CHR and Christian Rock.

To answer your question, no we don't.  The closest thing to a CCM, in my market, is the rim shot WDJC 93.7 FM from Birmingham.  The other stations I'm able to get, do a lot of talk and educational programming.

What I wanted to do was to build a new FM station, from scratch and give my dead radio market a swift kick in the backside and bring a top notched quality based CCM station to my area.

And yes I wanted this station to be hardcore CCM and play the songs that no one else dared touched.  Since this project hasn't worked out, as of this post, I'm still Praying and fishing for an Internet only station to be in God's future plans for me.

If anyone reading still thinks that a top notched quality based CCM FM station would work out in my hometown and wants to help me pursue this, let me know and I'll be sure to contact you.

P.S. I'm still excited about the future.  Glad that God already His future plans, for me, laid out.  If He allows me to return to Radio broadcasting, I would be one happy camper indeed.

B.T.W. For those who have been helping me so far, I want to say thank you.  I appreciate it very much.

As in Hardcore in style or in the lyrical content being bold?

Give me examples of the types of songs you are talking about.

The songs that have a bold lyrical content and a louder sound.

Examples would include: Third-Day, Toby Mac, Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Steve Camp, Michael W. Smith, Plumb, Kutless, Superchick, Flyleaf and Newsboys.
