NHL NETWORK: CBC HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA...HALVED HERE?

They might have explained it, but why this season did the NHL Network lose the 2nd game of CBC's Hockey Night In Canada, and "After Hours" here in the states?

I realize the network is an off spring of TSN, but I enjoyed the venerable CBC program from start to finish.

The second HNIC game is carried live on NHL Center Ice, although CI doesn't run "After Hours" as it did in the past. CI also has the HNIC alternate early game, if there is one.

NHL Network reruns the late HNIC game plus After Hours on Sunday afternoon.

And as I type this, Vancouver has just beaten Minnesota in the late game.

ah...so in the NHL's quest to attract viewers, they take a game, previously available to me on a sports tier network and shove it to pay per view.

Brilliant.

No further questions.

Does not surprise me in the least.
