NHL/NFL on NBC

I haven't seen this on the board (or haven't paid much attention)

BUT, who has NBC hired for announcers and hosts so far for when they broadcast NHL & NFL?

So far, John Madden, Bob Costas and Chris Collinsworth for NFL.

Mike Emrick and John Davidson are the A-team for NHL and Olympic hockey.
Bob Neuemeier and analyst TBH are the B-team for NHL.

I would suspect Bill Clement might be in line to be an analyst for The NHL On NBC.

Isn't Bob Costas also going to be between-periods host for NBC's NHL telecasts??

As for possible Sunday-Night NFL play-by-play men, one possibility may come from in-house: Tom Hammond (who has done Notre Dame games in recent years).

I doubt it, maybe for the Cup Finals, but not the regular season.

It will be either Hammond or Marv Albert.

Yes, sir!

They're pursuing both Clement and Melrose. ESPN wants to keep
Melrose for NHL coverage and analysis on ESPN News and ESPN International.

They have no plans for Costas on NHL broadcasts.

Not only NOtre Dame, but also Arena Football. Yes, he's the leading candidate.

Bob Neuemeirer once did radio broadcasts of the Hartford Whalers for WTIC-1080 there before and shortly after the old World Hockey Association was absorbed into the National Hockey League, and for a time in the late 1990's, did play-by-play on radio for Boston Bruins' games on WBZ-1030 Boston (at the time, Neuemeier was a sports anchor/reporter for sister station WBZ-4).

If he's going to be the "number two" play-by-play man for the NHL On NBC, I would expect that he and whoever is hired as his broadcast partner will be going to Turin, Italy for to call the women's hockey competition (with the likely exception of the champiobnship game) at next February's Winter Olympics for NBC and USA Network (lead NHL play-by-play tandem Gary Thorne and John Davidson will be calling the men's hockey action, plus the women's championship game)
