Nice Job, Nudge

I wholeheartedly agree. The guy's teeming with energy and is an asset to the station. Unfortunately, this temporary morning gig might be what leads Nudge to greener pastures (good for him, bad for Star 94).

Good thinking also on Star 94 management's part in cutting with the Steve & Vikki post-mortem and the wake-like pallor that the morning show had over it for the two weeks immediately following their departure.

Is "The Morning Mess" still starting January 2 as earlier announced?

Was able to hear some of Nudge on the morning show last week here in east AL. I thought I was listening to another morning team or the new show before I recognized Nudge's voice. He's doing an excellent job.

I agree 100 percent. Nudge is very good at his craft. Leave him alone and let him do his thing. People just genuinely like this guy. He is an entertainer.

I agree too. There's even a night guy at Island 106 in Panama City that may be a Nudge wannabe, his name is Spoon:

IMHO he's trying to sound like Nudge, and it was reported on this board previously that like Nudge has the liner "...that's NUDGE, N-U-D-G-E", Spoon has a liner that says "... that's SPOON, S-P-O-O-N".

I almost started a similar thread last week. I thought he was very good for a fill-in show. Great energy. I never have listened to him at night much and I probably listened to him moire last week than would listen to S & V in a month.

Smart transition plan. Put S & V out of everyone's mind by the time the new show starts and put something in it's place that weill better match the new product. This does not work as well if it was going to be Tom Sullivan and Shannon until then.

Yeah, because nothing in radio has ever been copied before...good one... ::)

Yep very nice job! I've listened a couple of times and was very impressed! So who's going to take nights when Nudge moves to the greener pasture? ;)

I hear 99x is looking for a morning show anchor?

Nudge falls about 30 years short of the minimum age for a morning show host on 99X.

I agree it is much better for them to be out of touch with their demographic. That is why Toucher never worked here. Too young. You can;t be pushing 30 workijg for a top 10 market alternative station.

Nudge sounds ok to me, but not as good as S&V. But then, the game in radio nowadays is hire anyone making above minimum wage and get somebody else to do it for less. If they could outsource it to India, they'd do it.
