Listening to the Nudge last night in my girlfriend's car and heard him intro the new Switchfoot song "Stars" stating they world premiered it a few days ago. "You can only hear it here....blah blah blah..."
Uh, 99X has been playing it for more than a month. Really good try though.<P ID="signature">______________

While I'm never one to knock a jock hyping a new song...here some research:

1. The world premiere for this song was on 6/21 on WRLS/Louisville (12 other monitored stations also played the song that day, but WRLS had the most spins in the overnight on 6/21)
2. The CHR premiere for this song was on WFLZ/Tampa the next day
3. The Atlanta premiere for this song was on 99X on 7/6
4. The Star premiere was on 7/31, and they've played it 67 times, 4 times at night.

...so, it wasn't even Star's premiere of the song. It may have been Nudge's..although they've already spun it 4 times at night (meaning they would have spun this "new" song 4 times last night including the debut), so I doubt it was even that.
