Nichelle King has left Channel 7. She signed off for the last time Sunday night. She says that she is headed back to Florida, which is where she came to 7News from.

I have seen her on CHannel 7 this week .

Who is Nichelle King? The faces behind the tabloid desk are totally forgettable and interchangeable.

No, Anson knows the level of intelligence or lack thereof of the average Channel 7 viewer. They probably spell cat....k-a-t ;D

Shouldn't her name start with "M"? I mean, someone must have misspelled it - right? ;D

LOL! :D

But, seriously, don't you think that it can hurt a reporter's/anchor's credibility when they use a first name that is so "special" as to appear misspelled?

Human nature being what it is, using on-air names like Nichelle (or Candi, Tiffani, etc.) cannot be helpful if you are trying to establish yourself as a serious reporter.

I even wince at that weekend weathergal's name on ch.7 "Dylan" Dreyer. Makes me think that she is the product of hemp-growing 60's hippies, rather than about how sharp of a met she is. And, she's actually pretty good!

It's not fair - but its an unfortunate fact of life when you use a peculiar name on the air.

If they cared about their credibility as news reporters they would not be working at Channel 7. ;)
