Nick at Nite.

What happened to this channel? A few months ago, there was a bit of variety with Friends, Seinfeld, Mike and Molly and Young Sheldon. Now there's 15 episodes of Friends and 4 episodes of Mike and Molly per night (Seinfeld and Young Sheldon are off) and the page only lists two total shows (Friends and M & M) total! I don't know why they'd remove something as popular as Seinfeld. Remember when they used to show dozens of shows on here? What happened?

Contractual rights most likely.

I remember when all the shows on Nick at Nite where all in black and white.

Moronic binge watching has made much of cable TV unwatchable to people used to the traditional variety of the old days. I have no idea why that way of consuming television caught on as big as it has, but it's here, and I'm afraid it's here to stay. I wonder what the age and gender splits when it comes to binge watching. I wouldn't be surprised if it's done more by females in the "sacred sales demo" than any other group.

Streaming is probably the biggest cause of binge watching and cable has picked up on it.

If it's a show like MASH that is a favorite I can binge watch it, but if it's other shows i don't like as well I'm out.

Some streaming services, like Disney+, usually publish one episode of a series per week. I think it makes more sense than publishing all the episodes of a series at once because that way, the streaming service can keep the people who subscribe just for the series for more than one month.
