I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CARED ABOUT THIS!
Hot 97 has yet to spin Super Bass, while Rhythmic leaning-CHR 92.3 now has Super Bass in Power. Rival Urban Power 105.1 and Z100 all have Super Bass relatively high in their playlist. Why Hot 97 will not play Super Bass is beyond me. I seriously have no clue. And it cannot be because it is "too pop", because Hot 97 was the FIRST AND ONLY station in New York to pick up Nicki Minaj's "Check It Out", that reached #21 on CHR, and Hot 97 had it spinning 60 times a week at its peak. (Well Z100 might have added it, but I don't believe they did.)
If Hot 97 can play such Pop records as "Beautiful People - Chris Brown", "ET - Katy Perry/Kanye West" (Hot 97 had this at 12 plays per week for roughly a month), "Rolling In The Deep - Adele" (Hot 97 has used the Rhythmic remix in various mixshows) and other CHR records, then they really should be playing Super Bass. Its obviously a hit in NYC as evidence of its high plays at competitor stations, and it hit number one on Rhythmic and is nearing number one on Urban.
