Nielsen Expands PPM Technology to 44 TV Markets

This is interesting. Can PPM identify with precision a TV signal that has been recorded as opposed to a live broadcast? I know a bunch of people like me who watch virtually nothing but live sports real-time. Everything else is downloaded (not streamed).
