Night jock Darik Kristofer is out at Star 94

Darik is a very good talent. Aren't Heather and Chase single as well? Heather is female so maybe she gets a pass...but Chase is mid 20's and single just like Darik. Hmmmmm. Can't help but wonder there.
 
I respect Scott Lindy. The proof of how excellent a PD he is lies in Star 94's latest ratings, and in The Bull's progress when he was there.

That said, I want to express my opinion. As I would listen to Darik, what I could not comprehend was the calls from young women that he took regarding things of interest to...very young women. I would think, "That's fine for CHR, but they're trying to be Hot AC." On the other hand, I thought Darik was sounding better than ever, and he was frequently interjecting promos about things such as Star 94's kids photos page on the website, etc. And I felt the way Darik embellished those promos with his own words worked fine for Hot AC.

In my opinion, if Darik would have dropped the very young women calls and the young women requests, he would have been fine for the format. I wish they had tried that.

I got to know Darik, and he's not only a good talent but also a terrific person. I wish him the best and know he will do just great.

I really liked that guy...

I love how Lindy's broadened up the playlist and added a lot of Alternative stuff though - not sure why they keep playing snippets of 90s song titles and airing callers making stupid guesses about what song it is, but besides that I'm loving the station!

If we are to take anything from Scott's take on Darik, I'm guessing Heather doesn't have much longer.
