Nights at KOMP

I guess Nick James left pretty quietly from KOMP. Does anyone know if it was amicable? A reliable source told me that Dennis Huff has been in the building recently. I wouldn't be surprised, as I saw him at the KOMP Super Bowl party instead of his own stations (KVGS) at The Silverton. Who would they go after? In market? Out of market?

Nick's wife got a nice promotion to move to Florida. So Nick has unfortunately left KOMP; and we wish him lots of luck in the sunshine state. Now for the next big thing...

I heard the same thing about Nick. his wife got a great gig in So FL. Not sure who they are going to hire, but hopefully it wont be that yak trap Big Mex who just loves to hear himself talk. He is the only jock Ive ever heard ramp up the entire intro to "One" by Metallica and still step on the vocals. He sucks, BAD.

Well "congrats" and good luck to Nick. Florida is hot.

Haha, I don't know what "ramp up" or "step on the vocals" is, but is sounds like it hurts. I think I've only heard him a handful of times, but he can't be that bad if his boss lets him talk on the radio.

You have a certain amount of time in the intro before the vocals start. "Stepping" on the vocals is when you're still talking and the vocals start. ;)

Dennis is our new night guy. He starts this Monday, May 2nd.
