Nights On 94.9 The Point

This topic was started on the CHR/Mainstream Pop board under the heading "Hot ACs That Go CHR/Pop At Night" and I thought it would be appropriate for discussion here. 94.9 The Point in Norfolk recently stopped airing female-oriented talk show "Your Time With Kim Iverson" between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight and replaced it with a music intensive show called "Devin On Demand." The problem some Point listeners may have is that the music Devin plays is CHR as opposed the Hot/ Modern AC The Point plays the rest of the time. I mean, The Point at night practically sounds like it's sister station Z-104 with rap and dance tunes! What do y'all think? Is this kind of dayparting the wave of the future? Will it work? Discuss!

Correction: Someone on the CHR/Mainstream Pop Board let me know that music intensive, CHR/Pop show "Devin On Demand" airs for three hours between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Female-oriented talk show "Your Time With Kim Iverson" is still on for two hours between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight with Hot/Modern AC tunes sprinkled in with the chat.

I did hear this going around the "dial." The music was very similar to Hot 100.5...
