Anyone remember Nikki from the Bear? She did 7-mid, real raspy, smoke 20 packs a day kinda voice. I was friends with her when I worked there but lost contact with her when I moved.

What market is she in now?

Wow, Lisa Tyler...

My goodness... the people you run into on this board... and on Valentine's Day no less.

Hope all is well... sorry I didn't get a hold of you when I travelled thru your area last summer. In fact, my Mom just asked about you the other day.

Are you voice-tracked or is your show still live?

Hope all is well... Travis

Nikki contined to work at 97.9 in it's various flavors until she left sometime in mid 2003 to have a baby. She was out of radio for awhile, and I heard she now occasionally part-times at Rock 107.

Wow thats back to 1998. I did nights at Cat Country 94...Lisa did nights at BHT and Nikki at the Bear.....Wow I'm getting old...I dont think Lisa would remember me.

Nikki works here at Gem 107.7. She's on the air 3-8pm (just started yesterday) and previous to that she was the afternoon hostess on the Cozy Radio Network (WCOZ-WEMR) and also hosted our Bargain Shop show that we just put on hold for a while. Nikki also does some sales too....you can give her a call at the station at 836-4200. Usually mornings are a good time to catch her here. Nikki's been with us for about a year and a half now.

Wow you remember me!!

Hi everyone!
Yes its me!! Lisa Tyler/Jordan Kline

Didn't think anyone would remember me since I was in NEPA less than a year. I think I would have been there longer had Steve McKay and Bill Fox not come into my life.
I had a blast there when I did nights but mornings was a whole other story! Since I didn't have a chance to talk to alot of you when I left I just wanted you to know that I resigned after one of the shows despite some people thinking I was fired.
A couple weeks after I quit, I was hired in Ft.Wayne, Ind doing middays at WJFX HOT 107.9. About a month after I was hired I was able to help Randy Longenberger (my on air sidekick) get a job there as well. He is still there and he is doing afternoons. In 2001 I moved here to Columbus,Ohio and I'm on air at WSNY.
I was able to keep in contact with Jay Hunter AKA Spanky for awhile but I have lost his contact info. Nikki and I had so much fun when I was there, she was like a big sister to me. Thank you for giving me her contact info. I don't know whether to put my email address on here or not but if you want to contact me let me know on here and I'll find a way of giving it to you.

Hope to hear from you all!

Lisa/Jordan

Re: Wow you remember me!!

Hey Lisa Jordan Kline Tyler!!!

It's TJ... you did a couple of Tinks commercials with me. Glad to hear you're doing good!

Sent you an e-mail a few months back, didn't know if you got it or not.

Just wanted to say hi... Hi!

I have Spanky's contact info, I'll send it to you.

Hope to talk to you soon!

TJ Foxx

Re: Wow you remember me!!

Hi TJ!

I'm sorry I didn't get an email from you. With my luck I probably accidently deleted it! Our station email is horrible....it's all spam. It's hard to tell what is a legit email from listeners and what's garbage. Just don't title it "Penis enlargement" or "loose weight fast" and I should be able to find it!!
How are you doing? How's married life? Hope to talk to you soon.

Jordan

PS: I miss your Tinks spots those were the best! The only commercial in the world I would turn up the volume for.

McKay and Fox had nothing to do with you not being in NEPA longer. As I remember they gave you a shot at doing mornings and you couldn't hold up your end of the show. I worked in the building when you were there.

Re: Wow you remember me!!

Any of you still have a copy of the "Production Room Outtakes" song? I think it went something like:

"Ugh! Ugh! (BLEEP) me! (BLEEP) me! Ugh! Ugh! Goddammit... start over!! Who writes this (BLEEP)?! Ugh! Ugh! (BLEEP) me! (BLEEP) me!......"

Maybe you need to hear my side of the story

You answered your own statement..........You were in the building but not in the studio!!! Steve Mckay has nothing to do with Bill Fox, one came before the other.
Bill Fox picked me to be his sidekick, I had never been in that position before. Hell I was 22 years old doing a morning show for the first time. Since you or anyone else for that matter wasn't in the studio the same time as us you have no clue what I had to go through with that man.
He promised to show me the ropes, but instead he would yell and scream at me and call me names when the mics were turned off. What kind of mentor is that? If I was just one minute late I would get screamed at like a kid!!! How would you like to be treated like that? A morning show is like a marriage and if you don't have the right chemistry then it's not going to work. I gave it a chance and 3 months with that man is all I could take. The last straw is when he called me a racist off air and I quit right after the show.
What I didn't realize then is how much he did teach me, I knew that I didn't want to end up like him or work with someone like that. Thankfully I've gone on to work for some great radio stations and work with great people.
Whoever you are, you have to know that Citadel was screwed up at that time. The one true PD that we had was Aaron from the Bear when McKay was fired. He was a great mentor to me and taught me alot. You really irritated me with your comment cause you have no clue what I went through there. I wasn't the best DJ and don't claim to be. I was as green as you could be. BHT was my first full time job in radio and I learned so much while I was there. But don't ever say that I didn't hold up my end of the deal when it came to mornings because I did what I was told, I was dragged into the GM's office almost on a daily basis because Fox and I weren't getting along. But I can guarantee you that I tried my hardest to make it work and do what was expected of me and when I realized it was never going to work I resigned.
What I'm asking of you is to take this into consideration and rethink what you wrote.
Thanks

Re: Maybe you need to hear my side of the story

I was painfully aware of what went on during that morning show. I know you and I know Bill. I heard your side of the story and his and know what I saw. He's worked with a lot of young talent. If you had really given it your all you could have been part of a really good morning show. Bill is a fair guy. He puts a lot into his work and expects others on the show to do the same. Just like most morning guys do. I was there and never saw you apply yourself on or off the air. As far as being a racist I don't know if you are or not, but he must have seen or heard something to make him say that.

I agree Aaron Roberts was a good pd for the Bear. Good luck to you and continued success at your current station.

I know who you are and the comments you made don't surprise me. You weren't a coworker I chose to associate with and there was a reason. Good luck to you as well.

boo hoo hoo. still the same Jordan...crying in her beer and blaming everyone else for her problems. well i hope things keep going well for you in columbus and saga decides you're worth the 14k they're paying you to do overnights because in this day and age of voicetracking you gotta be feeling a little more than nervous. oh well you can always shack back up with randy in ft. wayne if things go south.
