Ratings will stay the same if not get lower. There is absolutely no need for 3 CHR/top 40 stations in the same market.

3 top 40 CHR stations? What would the 3rd be?

If he's thinking 'KTU, they're Rhythmic A/C. Hot 97 may be rhythmic in nature but they are definitely NOT Top 40. BLI and K-104 are CHR in their respective markets but they're not considered in NYC proper.

Yea whats the 3rd top 40 station ?
I was referencing KTU, didn't know they were "Rhythmic AC" their playlist is very similar to Z100s in regards to the newest pop hits they play 3 times an hour.

They dont play the "rock" hits like the recent top 10 song "my songs know what you did in the dark (light em up)" by fall out boy or the current top 10 song "radioactive" by imagine dragons.

Its just that rock is doing so bad in top 40 while pop & dance are dominating the charts the KTU playlist has alot in common with Z100 & NOW.

But it isnt really a true top 40 & since you think they play songs 3x an hour guess that explains your confusion. ;D

Rock is doing fine on CHR's: Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Neighbourhood, Fun., Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis (who have hits on Alternative), Of Monsters & Men, are all on the charts

Neighbourhood & monsters & men arent on the billboard top 40 airplay chart now & ive never seen them have any real hits there in the past or at least recently & macklemore is really a rapper not rock thats why PLJ doesnt play him.
