Nine FM's localcasting

I noticed all this week, the traffic reports on the 99.9 signal have been mainly Chicago, near western suburbs, and the south suburbs. I'm thinking that the localcasting is taking place on traffic reports too. For those of you in the 92.7 & 92.5 listening areas; what areas are the traffic reports covering? I know 92.7 covers the Edens Expressway and the Kennedy, plus the northern part of the tri-state, & I-90. There might be more, but I'm rarely in the 92.7 broadcasting area of Nine FM. For the 99.9 area, the reports cover Bishop Ford, Dan Ryan, Kennedy, Lake Shore Drive, I-55, tri-state for the near west & south suburbs, Eisenhower, I-80 west of I-294, and 80/94 through Lansing, and occasionally NW Indiana with 80/94, I-90 toll road, & I-65. There's not much that would be covered in local traffic reports for 92.5 since the only interstates that mainly run through that area are I-90 & I-88, and maybe I-39, and there's the Elgin OHare highway. I could be wrong on that.

They seem to have introduced bumpers this week promoting "local traffic," so yes, I'm guessing that the localcasting has been expanded to include traffic reports. I had heard a while back that there were plans to do this, but wasn't sure when it was going to take effect.

At the same time, it sounds like there are still some technical glitches to be worked out. I am assuming that the reports are pre-recorded shortly before they air, but I could be wrong on that. Yesterday, the last half-second of a report was repeated. Most days this week, Amanda's voice has sounded like it's been pitch-shifted down, so I am also assuming that there's digital time compression/expansion going on in order for the report to fill a preset block.

You’re not wrong; they are pre recorded, up to 7 seconds before they air. 3 different stations, 3 different computers, 3 different phone lines for 3 different reports. Running as any network would (but poorly) its just all in one studio and automated so its just point and click once, then pray really hard.
