NJ 101.5 and the Government Shutdown

I've listened to NJ 101.5 intermittently today - and it seems they are sticking with the music format. Dd they have a call-in show from 6-10 this morning to discuss the situation, or has it been straight-out music since Friday at 7?

I'm just curious, this is not a bash either way. I'd be interested to know if they brought in someone like Ken Wright or have Eric Scott run an entire show to discuss what's going on.

I didn't listen today, but when I last listened on Friday they were off until Wednesday; they gave the shows a 4 day weekend.

I'll tell you one thing - if the shutdown is still happening at 2PM on Wednesday... it may be the greatest opening segment in a long, long time.

The "Jersey Guys" are on a 2 week vacation. They won't be back until the 17th. They would be having some fun with the situation though.

During the news on Saturday I heard Eric Scott doing reports from the state capitol. It was sort of interesting that the news director was the one who came into work over a holiday weekend. Either: (1) He saw it as a big story and he wanted it for himself. Or (2) He's management and on a flat salary and the regular capitol reporter gets over-time. Or (3) The regular capital reporter picked a bad time to take his vacation. ???

Wow. You are REALLY extrapolating there.

Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe (4) he's the most visible news person on the station, and it is the biggest news story in NJ Politics since McGreevey's coming out?

Look, I like both Eric Scott and Kevin McArdle. But don't make accusations like that without something substantial to back them up.

I believe your number four is the same as my number one.

Dennis is doing the 2:00 show today.

I'm not picking on Judi, but it's always refreshing to hear Dennis on solo. It's definitely a different vibe than D&J. Ken Wright is also a strong player off the 101.5 bench.

Absolutely not. The way you phrased it paints Eric Scott as a egomaniac who pushed McArdle out of the way to claim glory for himself.

The way I phrased it was that he was a recognizable voice in a time of crisis.

It's a moot point now. McArdle was just on and did a full break with Dennis, so it's his story now.

I prefer listening to them when they are on together. However, when they do go on the air individually, I like Dennis better. Judi is at her best with Dennis.

It is my opinion that Dennis and Judi both, equally, rock. However, Judi looks better in a pair of jeans.......I'm just sayin'.

Judi is now, and always will be, an erupting volcano of sexual ooze. If you think otherwise, you may as well go have a bunch of gay sex. You are clearly headed in that direction.

OK, we'll just agree to disagree. I think she was hot back in the day but is now a complete trainwreck.

As for the gay sex remark, you must have me confused with your old on air partner.

Don't drag me into this. Judy is still smoking hot. But there is no judging here, Joe. You obviously prefer Dennis in a pair of jeans, and I say, that's great... Whatever floats your boat. I will defend your right to the death, sir! You shouldn't be so afraid of girls, though. They're soft, and pretty, and they smell good... But to each their own.

Boy....Scott sure does get touchy when someone refers to him as gay. A little too touchy, it seems........

Nah, If that kind of stuff bugged me, they'd still be searching for your body in a ditch, off the Turnpike. ;D
