NJ 101.5 Launches Redesigned Website

At first glance, it looks pretty cool. <P ID="signature">______________

Ken Wright sounds good filling in for Jim Gearhart this week. As a long-time newscaster/anchor/salesman of sister station WBUD, he deserves this stint on the "Mother Ship!" Nice job, Ken!<P ID="signature">______________

Well, Ken is much better than Steve Morterano of last time. The only thing that is driving me absolutely crazy about Ken is when he says the time. Everytime he mentions what time it is...

It's 7:14, 14 minutes after 7:00
It's 8:42, 18 minutes before 9:00
It's 9:22, 22 minutes after 9:00

And so forth...that's my only gripe. Other than that he seems to be getting alone with everyone. This morning he was talking to Jill for a few moments. Yesterday he was talking to Dennis toward 10am.<P ID="signature">______________

Actually, he talks to Jill *every* morning on "Mercer News Morning" on WBUD. He's the host and she's the traffic reporter there.

I have been listening to Ken over the last few days - a MUCH better improvement over Morterano, and, dare I say, over Gearhart. Possibly grooming him for a possible replacement? Usually I'll shut Gearhart off, he just goes over the same things day after day after day, (granted Ken did today talk about the Gas again, but thats expected). And at least Ken lets the callers get more than too words out.

Two more things that need fixing....Joe Ciofi's canned weathercasts. At least Kasper's canned 'casts sound live. Sounds like Ciofi only recorded 2 or 3 versions. Lastly, get rid of this Ralphi Sabiano poorly voiced and phoned-in business report. Half of the friggin thing is an advertisement for Magyar bank, and now he is includng a tag for his investment company within the Magyar tag! Geeze....

That being said, I still enjoy the show, and even more with Ken on the air this week.

And call me crazy, when Dennis was off the air last week for his surgery and Judy was on solo, C-Dogg sounded awesome with her. Give Charod his own two hours instead of best-of in the middle of the night (even though I would miss hearing Kathryn's voice introducing traffic/weather while im sleeping with the radio on....)....EJ, I'll send my consulting bill in the mail! =)

Why not Charod with Kathryn and a potential third mic?

But unfortunately

The "Saturday Night Jersey Request Show," hosted by the very entertaining and musically knowledgeable Frank Thomas for the past six months, still is not listed on the Weekend page. There is still a blank where the show should be listed.<P ID="signature">______________

Thanks

Re: Thanks

They've actually been updating the website several times per day. I don't know if that's just because it's new and they're tinkering with it or they're actually going to update it now more than once per month.<P ID="signature">______________
