NJ 101.5 Weekend Ratings

Always listen to NJ101.5 on the weekends. How are the ratings for the oldies as compared to the talk during the weekdays?

Overall, NJ101.5 is a strong second in the ratings, right?

How are Big Joe's ratings?

Does the ownership consider the music as a filler.....or a good driver of revenue and ratings?

If you listen to the spot load on weekend's, it is very clear that Classic Rock (the playlist has been moved forward in time) on the weekends is not just filler.

News/talk stations typically experience HUGE drops in listnership (and ad revenue) on weekends. What NJ 101.5 has done with a "second format" on weekends (targeting the same or similar demos) is brilliant. I am surprised more stations around the country have not followed NJ 101.5's lead in this and other areas.

You can listen for yourself; the station streams online.

Re: NJ 101.5 Weekend's

Still, could WKXW FM New Jerset 101.5 decide to go all talk 24 hours 7 days a week and elimminate its part time music show's?

It's an interesting thought, but why would they even consider the notion?

They'd wind up like WABC -- a station full of right-wing screechers and talk-show fascists.

For the record New Jersey 101.5 is still playing 60's music as part of weekends.

It warms my heart that you refrain from name calling those you don't agree with.
