I found this on another board. If it's true what an embarassment for NJ101.5. and a big waste of time for the so called dream job contest which I always thought was a bad idea and sounded terrible on air.

Everyone knows the radio community is a tight group but a backstabbing one!!!! Let's get REAL!!! Employed people have better things to do than to waste time posting garbage hear. They would have no interest in what 2 chicks are doing.

Michelle Jerson is known in the industry to be very talented and ambitious. 4 people were let go for budget cuts on Stern News. You're not a journalist so your facts aren't straight. She had her own talk show in a HUGE market when she was like 25 or so. She's been involved with many public forums with success. Those positions aren't handed out. Dena, also very successful and talented. The who's who in this industry can read through this trash talk and know that both these woman have the very posistion that [**EDIT] couldn't get. And there a quarter of your age and dwarf any talent you long to have.

The best thing that happened to 101.5 is getting rid of the mouth that went by the name......um let me think. Can remember!!! Cause she's insubstantial. Ratings for 101.5 went up the moment the door hit her in the rear.

Like I said, the who's who in the industry can read through this trash talk and are also VERY familiar with your screen names of choice. Enjoying your day job? After the first 30 minutes Michelle is painfully boring and unexciting.
The show is moving really slow and she keeps repeating herself every 3 minutes.
One guy caller took over the show for about 2 minutes and she lost control and that's when I tuned out it's bad.

Dena's website does confirm she is the new host of a TV show. Good find Julius.
 
Since "oustingu2" has seen fit to register and post apparently for the sole purpose of making personal attacks - and since I have been included - I might as well weigh in.

Unlike "oustingu2" I did not cast aspersions on anyone's motives or character. I expressed disapproval of the common industry practice of hiring inexperienced and unqualified people. One of the points I made was that such individuals do not have a commitment to a career in radio. Radio is something else to try. The fact that Deena Blizzard would quit after a couple of months to take another gig - outside radio - demonstrates an absence of such commitment. Heck, the Miss New Jersey pageant got her to hang around for a whole year. I heard her show. I thought she had potential. She was not however willing to learn the craft of radio in small markets. She was given an unusual opportunity to start near the top but she wasn't willing to stay in for that. I hope PDs will keep this mind when they think of hiring "sunshiners" and "morning glories" from outside the biz.

As for Michelle Jerson. Her track record amounts to: She's good at getting jobs. Not so good at keeping them. She appears to have more of a commitment to radio but had the misfortune to start early in major market radio and now seems unwilling to get seasoning in the minors.
 
According to Dena's website and the NJ 101.5 website, she's still there... And the "TV gig" was posted over a month ago.

If Dena was truly gone, all evidence of her would be erased from the 101.5 site.
 
BTW, Mods... if you're going to be so liberal with editing stuff, why don't you edit the thread title so it's not so misleading?
 
Dena was on this past Wednesday and Thursday. She was on vacation for a couple days, and Michelle was just filling in.

To me, it was good to hear Michelle's voice both filling in and over the July 4th weekend.

dena show is not all that good.they should have Michelle do it.Michelle has a much better voice!!and dena is taking off all the time for her comadey stuff the job just is not for her!!!if most of us told are boss that we needed off all the time like that they would tell us dont let the door hit you on your ass on the way out your done we dont need you any more.and she only ben there what 6 months.just have Michelle do the show that way you only have one host the way it is now you have 2 host dena and Michelle becouse dena is taking off to much way to much!!and to top it off her show sucks!!
 
Tommy - I can understand why you are not a big fan of Dena's show. She speaks in English and you obviously have a very poor command of the language. Please take your crayons and try to stay inside the lines and just get out.
 
I'm sure Michelle is a nice person but having a nice voice and a pleasant demeanor doesn't translate to being a "good talk show host". She'd probably be better off doing that "Delilah" nonsense with love song requests and other sappy crap.

101.5 should seriously consider dropping the concept of "relationship talk" for their 7-11 slot. Its old already.
