NJN New Jersey Budget coverage

Once again think god New Jersey has the New Jersey Network. NJ has shut down non-essential government because no budget was agreed upon by the deadline of 7/1. Governor Corzine signed an order to shut the non-essential government down on Saturday and could really impact the state more by Wednesday. If you been watching NJN today or in the past, NJN has had in the past and should be the case this time around constant LIVE updates on this story with interviews and any hearings by the elected officials and any sessions of the NJ house and senate, those event would also be aired live on NJN. This station is important to Jersey residents for election coverage and budget and their daily newscasts. I hope people will take the time to pledge to NJN and tell them thanks for the news service that they have for many years. Keep up the good work NJN Thoughts on their coverage so far? My view is that their coverage is the best and cannot be matched by any other public TV station in the USA. NJN is committed to keeping the state informed with this important story and be there for NJ during any major news event.

Last time I checked New Jersey was not part of New York City and you say are not in New York or anywhere where you can watch New York stations.
This evening, the New Jersey budget problems were either the lead or second story (due to a police officer in Bed-Stuy getting knifed in the face) on all of the 10 and 11 PM English language local newscasts, except for WLNY which is a Long Island station. The best coverage of the situation seems to have been from WNBC, but they seem to cover New Jersey the best. NJN is meeting its mandate as a public television station that serves New Jersey and providing news and information to its citizens. As for NJN newscasts, they are almost always taped around 5:30PM, to air live on WNET, and tend to be stories that would most likely wind up going in a local newspaper if anywhere. They are good for low budget operation and the fact they have to cover the entire state. As for their future coverage don't speculate as with such things past performance does not always indicate future action, except in your case.

I think that NJN is carried in NYC More info: http://www.njn.net/television/channels/ . Anyway, I know that NJN doesn't do newscasts on holidays but because of the budget crisis, NJN will air news tonight at 6 PM, 7:30 PM and 11 PM all EDT. The station is also airing hourly updates at the top of each hour during the crisis or sooner if anything happens.

Please do proper research and then maybe post relevant links.
Thank you.

Do you understand the whole concept of relevant links?
The information on the FCC website there is theoretical at best and TV reception over the air within the five boroughs is a craps shoot.

Again, please do proper research and then maybe post relevant links.
Thank you.

The thing is, though, New Jersey is split into two markets -- NYC in the north, Philly in the south, and both splitting the central part. With that in mind, and Jersey having no Tv board of its own, the posts have to go somewhere.

But the original poster does a lot of these hit and run posts. He was banned from tvnewstalk.net for such behaviour.
