NJT (Nat'l Jewish TV)

EWTN on 17 and 393. (The only difference between 17 and 393 is that on 17 for three hours every Sunday 1PM-4PM they'd show a channel called NJT - National Jewish Television. Comcast and it's predecessors - AT&T and TCI have always showed NJT on EWTN no matter what Channel EWTN has been on over the years).

TCI -> AT&T -> Comcast in South Florida did the same as well. I found it fascinating that the cable systems would pre-empt three hours of a Catholic network for NJT.

OY!

Why 'fascinating'? South Florida has a substantial Jewish population.

one of the major reasons that South Florida is referred to as the
Sixth Borough of New York City.

Having previously lived in the Miami area, I am aware. The 'fascinating' part is pre-empting three hours of a Catholic network to do so when they can simply place it in one of their community access channels.

The Bright House system in Tampa bay does not carry NJT, but does carry the similarly-formatted Jewish Life TV on its own channel in the digital tiers.

How many of you are able to get the "Talkline with Zev Brenner" program? It airs on cable access in New York City and is also cleared on wannabe-news channel WRNN in suburban New York City.
