NKY LPFM goes Classic Hits

107.9 is now playing their version of Classic Hits. It's a bit of a mishmash, really.

I was driving through and thought I could grab a listen to WTPI in Indy, but the NKY station was there.

That's the one, but now that I'm back home up north I can't get it at all. In fact it was gone when I got to Erlanger on 75.

I kinda like it

It kind of reminds me of the old 94.9 The FOX when I was working there and we were at first doing Classic Hits in 1988. Hearing some of those songs like Sanford-Townsend Band mixed in with some old Motown and harder Classic Rock is similar to what we were doing before WGRR signed on and made us drop the "Hits" and go to the "Rock" in 1990. I don't know about the No Doubt I just heard. That makes it sound more like a "Jack" format. And the Neil Diamond was a bit of a shock. I loved hearing CSN&Y's "American Dream" last night. How about "Got It Made?" The signal's OK here in Florence. My walkman was doing some fading, but was OK. I like to listen to Florence Freedom games on 107.9 if I'm driving around F-town!

I can hear them somewhat on my Home Hi-FI with an outside FM/TV antenna in Grant County. The signal does have some interference with HOT 107.9 in Lexington KY. I hope they decide to stream soon.

We like it too! Stream available in a limited capacity until the site is fully developed. If you try and can't get the stream, try later.<P ID="signature">______________
