No radio Mercury awards for locally produced spots this year. Judges said the creativity wasn't there. Anyone surprised?

Good for the judges for deciding not to give awards rather than giving awards to mediocrity.

Wow. Those spots from last year's awards were pathetic. All the creative was done by whoever wrote the copy. Which, if that's the production director, good for him/her. But I don't know many production directors who write copy any more.
