No brainer new name for NewsRadio 106.7

I hope they find someone better for morning drive than the two hosts they've been alternating. I do enjoy listening to Mike Brooks when he fills in on the station.

I hope they find someone better for PM drive than the Chattanooga Boo Boo. PM drive on the news-talkers in ATL is a complete wasteland.

Some questions about various talk shows syndicated by Westwood One:

1) Should we expect 106.7 to pick up Red Eye Radio for overnights?
2) Could they put on Clark Howard? Or does WSB/Cox have a lock on him?
3) What about The Savage Nation?

Cumulus knows not what they are doing: Out of 37 stations they are #11, #17, #18, #21, #24, #25! Is there any wonder as to why they are going broke and filing for bankruptcy. They need to fire the entire FORMAT deciders and start from scratch.

I think Q100, Kix 101.5, and Rock 100 were doing OK. I still feel that adult hits (80's plus pop hits) would have a lot less payroll and bill better than whatever they call 106.7 now. IIRC Dave E. once stated that the Fish is billing twice what WYAY is with a lot smaller power bill. I agree that some programing decision makers @ Cumulus need to go.

I've been wondering about this since Rob Stat left before the holidays. The only reason I listened to them in the morning was for news and traffic, which is now why I'm on WGST or WSB in the morning. In fact I was pretty miffed when the PM news slot went away.

Personally I like Brian Joyce..I've heard listener arguments against him but they all sound like something i heard Shannon Burke say so it seems less genuine. Otherwise I suspect it's because he's not necessarily on the same line as the rest of the lineup.

I personally enjoy Brian Joyce, though I sense at times as compared to his social media presence he's very restrained with callers. What I don't understand is the appeal of Kimmer's act.

Doubt Cox would ever release Howard...he is a big community PR guy for the station...

Would love to hear The Savage Nation on 106.7, but currently on Newstalk 1160. Which I do not get too well in Peachtree City, listening on-line when I can.
I think Savage would be a good fit for the 3PM slot.

This revamp or pivot had lousy timing for me. After years and years of not having to deal with rush hour traffic, my new job requires me to run through downtown morning and afternoon and suddenly, once again need a radio station that emphasizes traffic reports.

So I'm stuck going back to WSB now. Haven't listened to them since Boortz retired. And their traffic leaves me cold ever since Captain Herb passed. Literally hate listening to that station. But there's no alternative.
