I just don't understand some jocks these days. Isn't it rule #1 in Radio Contests 101 that you don't deliberately mislead the winner?

And PDs think people like ME are trouble.

The defense rests....

This is the target that the FCC should be focusing on, not Stern, O&A, Don & Mike, BJ Shea, etc.<P ID="signature">______________

Any DJ who is still doing these lame contests deserves what they get. I thought these contests went out of style along with the morning zoos?

This "winner" of the 100 Grand is getting exactly what she deserves - absolutely nothing! She's a bigger zero than any of the ones in the $100 G's she thought she won.
I hope she doesn't get dime one out of that station.
I hope the station lets her take them to court and they fight her until when it's all said and done she owes more in legal bills than the $100 G's she wants.
"Oh, I told my kids they could have shopping sprees!, a house with a back yard, a mini van and savings accounts" gimme a break! that makes it more funny that she had the money spent before she got it and before Uncle Sam took his share of it.
The one thing that I saw that bothered me was the station manager who had no guts whatsoever to stand up to her and tell her "No, we said a hundred grand..here's your candy bar".
No, this spineless jellyfish goes and offers 5 G's in cash to placate her..dumb mistake especially given that he knew about the contest, you know he did!
She said it was a "crule joke" and "you just don't do people that way", yeah well there are lots of "cruel jokes" played on listeners and people who are on the air or behind the scenes in radio but you don't hear them all whining about it.
I hope I get the opportunity to share a bigger, hearty laugh when this chick gets nothing but her candy bar when it's all said and done.

It would be fun to offer a settlement of "two HUNDRED GRAND" and see if she falls for the whole dang thing .... again!!!! Now THAT would make some great industry copy.....
