No Classical Music Station in RI

There is currently no full time classical music station in the entire state of RI. And when WCRB (102.5) in Boston changes to 99.5 and transmits from Andover (MA.) it won't be receivable to most Rhode Islanders.

I believe you're referring to WBRU (95.5), the Brown University station.
They're primarily a hard rock station, but last I knew they had a classical "block" for a couple of hours on Sunday mornings.

Thanks for the info on WCRI. It would be nice if they moved to Providence so more people could receive their signal.

The 96.5 in Newport now translates 92.7 WMVY. 95.9 cannot move to Providence, or probably even to the mainland of RI because of 95.9 WATD Marshfield and 96.1 WSRS Worcester.

Yes I thought that was the case but wasn't sure (the translator switching to WMVY). I had remembered hearing that but wasn't sure if they'd gone back to relaying WCRI or not.

I've heard WCRI in Providence on a good tuner in the car. In fact, some nights they skip up and interfere with WATD Marshfield, MA here in the Boston area.
