No Dierdorf for MSU Game Broadcast

No Fred, I just know enough to call BS when someone states something and cannot back it up. I could care less what you write or think, but would at least consider some of your points if you bothered to support them.

Why mention cops in Fulton, Fred? I think you mean Ferguson, but then, you couldn't have made such an error now, could you have?

It's pathetic to be a "fan" of an institution you did not attend, and which has some many policies and practices you clearly despise. You also claim to be a "fan" or radio but you don't even listen to WUOM. What's that about?

You righties keep falling back on demands for "proof" anytime somebody posts something you don't like. No proof is ever good enough and you never offer proof of anything you post yourselves - except to quote somebody like Rush or Beck(mann). You people still hold onto superstitions like creationism and climate change denial and yet talk about "proof." Don't have to pay attention to any of that; it's just those liberal professors in Ann Arbor, warping young minds.

Saw an article this morning (with medical "proof") about old ex-football players likely to end up with dementia. If you ever heard of Google, you can find it yourself. Hmm. Dementia. Isn't that what happened to Ronnie in his second term? Didn't he play football in college. Maybe dementia was why he kept thinking he actually had played for Notre Dame.

Here's what happens to old jocks, especially those from Michigan who play with concussions....

Study: Concussions Lead to Increased Dementia Risk in Older Adults

The link between a single traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the risk of developing dementia has been controversial for some time because of conflicting study results. Now, a new study finds that TBI is associated with an increased risk of dementia in adults 55 and older.

Michigan likes to brag about "academic excellence." Blatant hypocrisy. The only Big 10 school that really ever cared about academic excellence was Chicago. They purged the jocks, along with their fake classes, real students taking tests for them, alumni pay-offs, rapes... Everything that goes with jock culture.

Dave Brandon is 62. Maybe he's having trouble remembering things. Like sending some kid back into the game because he forgot how he was hit five minutes earlier. Dave was buddies with the arrogant and evil Bo Schembechler , the guy who fired the great Ernie Harwell. Brandon was hired to run Dominos Pizza by former Cranbrook high school bully Mitt Romney at Bain Capital. Makes sense: Dominios is to pizza what Clear Channel is to radio (and what Mitt is to human beings).

Ummm, do you mean Northwestern? The University of Chicago was never in the Big 10, I don't believe.

Brandon would still be in his job if the football program was doing better. It's not so he's gone. To deny that the football program has played no role in the prestige of the University of Michigan is to ignore a fact.

On topic, Dierdorf was back on the air this weekend and did his usual fine job. I'm glad he's back and hope his health issue is past.

Chicago was a founding member of the Big 10 Conference. It de-emphasized sports and then withdrew from conference in 1946 (although still participates in Big 10 non-athletic co-operative programs). The conference was called the Big Nine for a few years until Michigan State joined in Chicago's place.

Ah, yes. Michigan football builds character.

Michigan Cuts Player for Punching Woman

The University of Michigan's football team cut senior defensive end Frank Clark on Monday after he was arrested for domestic abuse over the weekend. Police apprehended Clark outside of a hotel in Sandusky, Ohio after a fight with his girlfriend. Cops charged him with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and one count of assault. (He plead not guilty to both on Monday.) Clark appeared intoxicated, according to the police report.

Ah, yes, typical right-wing hypocrisy. They talk about government intruding on their freedom and complaining about the "nanny state" but they love their war on drugs - from the same political party that brought us prohibition 90 years ago.

BTW: What makes you think I'm such a "fan" of public radio? Read my posts on NPR's Ombudsman's forum sometime (and those are just the ones they don't censor).
