No free streaming preview periods on Sirius?

Was listening to the free channels in a xm-radio equipped vehicle ( the radio does not have a current subscription ). Went to my vehicle with the Sirius radio, and voilà, nothing ( this radio does not have a subscription either ); makes me hesitant to renew my subscription, especially when they still don't carry certain music channels such as the Groove; the TuneIn radio app gives me that variety quite readily though for free............
 
Yep, since XM can hand-select stations (a-la-carte style) they give out 2 week previews 2 or 3 times a year, but Sirius doesn't.

Which also goes to show that SXM COULD offer a less-expensive "a-la-carte service" on ALL XM radios ever made, but choose not to, limiting it to just 3 new Sirius radios. Bums.
