Kudos to all for a classy goodbye event this morning. Nice of Bonneville to ALLOW a pre-planned goodbye, and some nice segments produced (the family inside piece by far the most impressive) to say goodbye. Ditto when Ichabod left.
it's just SO MUCH CLASSIER when a station does it this way. On to the next chapter -- which, according to most of us who walked away from the biz, is GOING to be more interesting and better!
I'm willing to start a support group for all of us who just need to keep in touch now and then ... and, much like AA, remind each other that going BACK to a radio station is not good treatment for the addiction. We can even drink like hell at our support group (since it's not about substances) ... pass carts around the room so people can TOUCH them for the first time since the 90's ... and do what radio people do best: Tell stories that always come out better in the retelling than the original event EVER could be.
