No Major Cuts At CC Binghamton??

I thought Louie G was sure to be let go! Who's being axed??

Why would you think Louie would be axed? He's the only one in that building with a name. Sure, you have Thunder and Steve, Don Morgan and John Davison, but even though they're amazing people, they don't carry the name the way Louie does. You mention Binghamton Radio to anyone and the first thing out of their mouth is "oh yeah, I've heard of that guy Louie G." Even with the cluster being up for sale, management (most of them anyway) are smart enough to know that firing Louie would hurt the advertising dollars.

You are confusing Citadel with CC.. Don't you know it doesn't matter who the hell you are?? Why, because they put him on a van, he's God?? Please..IS he making them $$? How are his ratings? I've heard him before and quite frankly, he's very lucky I didn't take the PD or the OM post there. He would be toast.

The Don Morgan's/ Thunder of the world, these guys are the real pros..Louie doesn't hold a stick, maybe a pork chop, or a donut..John Davison?? Another pro.

Louie G was lucky to be DJing that party in the club that night that Bill Sheridan was there..THAT'S how he got the job! Or don't you know that??

No, I wasn't getting confused with Citadel. I was just trying to think of "names" that stand out in the market and most of those names are only within Citadel. Louie G is the one and only name that truly stands out at Clear Channel. Sure, there are other great talent there, but they don't hold a candle to Louie. You obviously have a sore spot for Louie G. It's too bad for you because he's one great guy. He's someone you want to work with and have as your friend and it's a shame that you will never have that with him. Actually, he's probably better off without you because you seem like a very negative person.

Louie was always nice to work with. Amy, Steve, Jacko, Louie. I'd say all of them brought something to the table (Louie usually brought an extra large pizza).

If you believe people make radio, then you are more likely to hire personalities. If people are replaceable parts, then you get what you currently have. I put my money on people. CC has a machine that allows them to de-emphasize personality elements.

But you should NOT badmouth Louie. When we worked together, he was fun and easygoing. A good PD gets good mileage out of people like that.

No disrespect, I don't think I was *bad mouthing* Louie. If it came out that way, I apologize. In the USA we have freedom of speech, I can speak my mind of people. As you can, as we all..
