$300K KDMS-AM/KLQB-FM El Dorado AR from El Dorado Broadcasting Company (Edward R. Partridge) to Jadon Broadcasting Inc. (Donna L. Bradshaw, James P. Bradshaw). Promissory note for full amount. [FCC file date 9/19/11]

What kind of radio market is El Dorado these days? When I worked Arkadelphia more years ago than I can remember, El Dorado seemed (to the young and distant eye) a really golden market. Do I get the idea that the southern rim of the state has been dealt some harsh cards in recent years? (Folks, keep in mind that my view of El Dorado for a number of years has been from 600 to 800 miles distant, and my glasses just aren't that good!!!)

James P. Bradshaw is also known as legendary country radio programmer Jay Phillips. He and his wife Donna have been running Y95 in Camden for the last few years and will do an outstanding job with those stations. Noalmark has the market share down there, but they all like each other and will be friendly competitors. There will be some good radio.

I really like Donna and Jay. I've known them for years and they are definitely "radio" people who focus on a quality product. I am excited to see what they can do with their own station. They have their work cut out for them since they are a small fish compared to Noalmark, but I wish them GREAT SUCCESS!

I understand that price did not include the building or the land. Still a big drop from the $950,000 that Rosh paid for the stations in the late 80's.

KDMS was a great radio station when I worked there, and I, too, wish the new owners much success.
