No More Commercial Free Mondays?

According to the front page of the site, it is so. Any ideas on why?

It was a stunt that probably outlived its usefulness. I'm sure it did its part in drawing listeners to the station, but AMP has established itself as a player in its demos. I'm guessing they have the amount of solid ad inventory too, and I'm sure money is a factor in this decision.

Also, I have noticed there new plug on billboards, buses, etc is "Make the Switch" and they are hosting Switch parties throughout the Southland to reward listeners for coming on board.

IMO, AMP has never sounded better musically. They have personalities in place that seem to fit the station, even though I had my doubts about Carson Daly. I've noticed in the past few months that they are adding records before KIIS and KPWR, which are quick to follow.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how taking the most famous element of the radio station will help them. Let's be honest, the only reason people know of AMP is due to the 10,000 songs in a row stunt, and the Commercial Free Mondays.

To be honest AMP hasn't broken anything new that KIIS didn't already have.

Amp in Detroit and Now in NYC is doing the same "make the switch" promos.

AMP probably found that they have solid billing and audience to drop that promotion. They are playing wayyy more commercials than they did before

Does this mean Now FM in NY and AMP in Detroit will stop doing commercial free Mondays soon?
