No more Delilah on B-101

Has anyone noticed the new on-air lineup at B-101? It looks like Delilah has been ousted. On B-101's website it lists the following air line-up:

Tiffany and Michael: 5-9a
Jenn Ryan (formerly of NOW): 9a-2p
Dan Blackman: 2p-7p
Juan Varleta: 7p-12a

It looks like they moved market veteran Juan Varleta into Delilah's spot. Best of luck to Juan, he's one of the best personalities on air to date.

Maybe Delilah is stuck in the overnights, like she is in Hartford on Lite 100.5?

Good riddance. Perhaps 2010 will be the year of the "Delilah demise." Now, she needs to get booted off of LEV and and JBR and we'll be almost in a "Delilah free" zone.

I think she's had her run.

B 101 has been consistently at the top of the Philly ratings for a long time. I never understood the need for paying for Delilah's show on the station, it seems that they would be fine without her. I'm curious to see if there will be any significant changes in the ratings during her former time slot now.

Delilah like John Tesh is 100% voicetracked without any music.. that's why they never introduce songs.. the music is brought in from each respective station.

Reminds me of growing up as a young lad reading Dick & Jane books. The pictures never had anything thing to do with the text.... I suppose the person that got the idea to start aloof voice-tracking such as Delilah was a big fan of Dick & Jane.

Could you imagine using Horror Music as the music track for a movie that tries to be a gentle love story ? josh

My favorite AC night show is just 2 hours down I-95. Baltimore's 101.9 Lite FM has a live and local personality at night that actually does emphasize listener interaction and gasp...plays requests! With Delilah, you call the number and if it's not busy, you talk to a staffer. Only the stories that seem to fit a theme will be answered by Delilah. You can never choose that special song because...it's voicetracked! Then the call will air weeks or months later. How's that for listener interaction!
Or you call 101.9 Lite FM, Fran picks up the phone, edits the call, and plays it, along with your request or dedication within an hour. And she doesn't have an annoying voice.
I would love it if Delilah loses her voice forever.

The sad thing is, having a local personality at night would get higher ratings than Delilah, but it's cheaper to get Delilah off the bird.

Funny, then, how WJBR and WLEV just happen to pick the exact same songs in the exact same order, even those that didn't really wind up in their normal mix, every single day. All from the individual stations? No, not in all cases.

Delilah has her a few feeds. You can choose to have just voice tracks or the whole program. Thats why you can hear the same song on a few stations at the same time. I cant listen to her.
