KRNA was a 'bad fit' from the start. Here's a show that appeals to upper 25-54 women on a station fighting for it's life as an active rocker. Imagine the young male hearing that morning tripe while waiting for their 'rock' to play. Imagine the upper demo women hearing Slipknot or Disturbed because when they got out of their car in the morning the radio was still set to KRNA when they got in the car at lunch.
The evidence was there early and no effort was made to adjust the format or the show to fit the other. Consider, that the high water mark for morning ratings in CR occurred in the Fall '06 book with Lou and Scott. That high water mark led to decline EVERY single book thereafter.
What this does is kill the notion of an Eastern Iowa D & M network. Frankly, they aren't even the best morning show in their home building. I think that title goes to the guys on the rimshot 104-9.
