No More Flashback Lunch on KROQ (again)

A couple months back KROQ dropped their Flashback Lunch show (again...they did this a few years ago as well).

Hopefully ppl will speak up & the show will be returned. It's just part of LA - too bad it's not around anymore.

I'm sure there are good reasons to keep the same format going all day but a specialty show at noon adds depth and is a great breakup of the monotony of My Chemical Romance and RHCP.

oh well 91x is still doing their Resurrection Lunch so not all is lost.

Sadly the Alternative format is breaking away from heritage in the pursuit of the bands that ripped off the Retro bands.. (The Killers, Panic at the Disco, etc)

I think the opposite is happening nation-wide. Stations are turning younger listeners onto the older alternative music by mixing it with the newer stuff. As for KROQ, that does seem strange. Are they doing anything else during the lunch hour now?

No they aren't doing anything different during the lunch hr.

Don't worry I'm already there man, it's just that KROQ's Flashback Lunch was an institution in LA and the surrounding areas. Maybe it'll come back someday.
