NO MORE FOX SPORTS RADIO IN DFW?

I heard that KCLE-1460AM has dropped Fox Sports Radio in favor of...surprise...country.

Now to clear something up for me, what happened to the (more appropriate) calls, KHFX? Or am I confusing this with something else? Are they a sister to KTFW, and part of The Ranch network? I'm pretty sure that radio legend George Marti has nothing to do with his old KCLE anymore, right?

So when KLLI goes all-sports in a few weeks, will it carry Fox Sports now? ;D If so, we'll soon have as many sports stations here as we do Spanish stations. ::)

Seeing as though I'm an Eagles fan I was searching the dial for Fox Sports this afternoon and viola no Fox sports. Its a shame. I still dont think KLLI will go all sports. If they do then bye bye Jagger in the morning, Lykus in the afternoons, Loveline in the evening and hopefully Ben and Skin.

I thought 1460 AM was and has been KHFX. KCLE has been located at 1140 AM. Maybe I missed something. If 1460 AM is now KCLE, what is 1140 AM? Has there been a call letter change there?

Well, I guess we're all a few months behind the curve. Wikipedia says KHFX AM 1140 was called KCLE until the end of August 2008. it had aired a country music radio format since 1947. The callsign swap with 1460 took place on September 1, so KCLE is nowat 1460. Website (for now) is www.1460foxsportsradio.com. It also says that George Marti sold the last of his interest to M&M Broadcasters in 2005.

News to me!

You know it! Or spending time putting together more "Hi-Fi Club" episodes and wondering if anyone is even hearing it through the 890 watts of static. :(

Hate to ask this kind of question, but is anyone listening to the show? Early PPM reports show us #1 with the 95+ males, and a runner-up to Radio Disney with the 6-11 girls. I'm shooting for a strong 25-44 male crowd once the Cowboys are out of playoff contention (and when "60 Minutes" goes into reruns.) :-\

But "sports" is a single format, while "Spanish" is a language, not a format, in which dozens of format possibilities exist.

I would hope that Live 105 puts Into The Night w/Tony Bruno in the 9p-12mid slot. It would be an outrage if they didn't.

Perusing the websites of Dallas' other sports stations, I noticed that none of them carry The Jim Rome Show. Does he have a D/FW affiliate?

Rome was listenable, even downright funny at times, but that was ten years ago or longer. Or maybe I just thought he was funny back then as compared to now. Kinda like Russ, I guess...where the perception of the listener changes and the show doesn't.
