No more games for Jagger..?

I've noticed that the Jagger Show doesn't play games anymore with the listeners. Whether it was "Random Crap", "Monday at the Movies", "Can Jimmy Do It", or "the iPod Game", their games were usually fun and entertaining. What happened? When Sam the Mailman left did he take all the prizes with him?

The whole format of the show has changed. I get to where I have to turn it off... I used to listen to Jagger from 6 - 9 but they repeat each topic at least twice. I also don't like how they always have "open phones" and tell you that you can "reach us by calling the show at 214-787-1053, fan text us at 4-FREE or send instant feedback at 1053thefan.com." every five minutes. And I love the slogan I heard yesterday and again this morning 105-3 The Fan... Sports AND MORE.

I'm sure a lot of the prizes they used to give away was because of the stations format. I'm sure the movie and music companies aren't going to donate prizes to a sports station.

I don't listen to Jagger anymore, but I'm sure they don't have the entertainment guests like they used to either.

Jeff- if you're listening from 6-9 you're probably listening about 6 times longer than your average listener. So back to the question- do you program to the casual listener or the hardcore listener? For the most part, that guiy listening at 615a isn't the same guy listening at 9am, so repeating a "good" topic is probably better that going to a marginal topic that many people may not really be interested in...

And FRG- the companies will probably donate prizes to a sports station, but not necessarily a sports station with ratings as awful as The Fans' are. Pull out the ratings- if you're Sony Music, (and you know you can get all 3 stations to give the stuff away and mention that it's available now) do you give it to KTCK (with their 7-8-9 ratings) ESPN (with their 4-5-6ish) ratings, or KRLD-FM (with their 2's)

A lot of giveaways and prizes are really just the result of hardwork and relationships built by the producers and promotions director. Since the Fan seemingly has none of the above, those contacts will fall off. If their only giveaways are initiated by sales people, which really only happens occasionally or as part of a bigger sales package(good luck with that 105.3), then you'll hear less and less free stuff handed out.

A couple people called in to the show this morning wanting to know what happened to the games and Jagger said that Evil Bigby stopped the games but that the games willl return very soon. Stay tuned...

Sounds like Jagger's got something up his sleeve...could he be moving to another station?

Last week P&K were doing their usual spill telling the time their on and the time BDH is on. I can't remember which one said it, but, one said "for now" after their time.
