Heidi Harris will start at 5AM now replacing the "KDWN Morning News" block. Now it will truly be Allan Vs. Heidi.

I forgot to mention that KDWN no longer has local news at the top and bottom of every hour during nights and overnights.

It's a shame to see more talent being tossed aside. Congrats to Heidi, I guess. Although didn't they try her in morning drive over the summer? They quickly pulled the plug on that. Maybe she'll have more room to spread her wings now that she doesn't have to share time with the news.

I noticed that the following names were removed from the KDWN website: Ryan Smart, Desiree Peeples, Nick Otomo, and Dorthy McIntyre.

It is a shame... Back when Nate Tannenbaum was running the morning news, it sounded great! Then, they'd do the one minute promos of all the goofy-ass wingnut talk shows. Automatic shut off for me as a listener. Daily Dash of Doyle meant immediate change to Mike & Mike in the Morning. Too bad. Time to remove KDWN from the preset on my AM dial.

The day of the chinese tourist bus crash kdumb had better coverage than the so-called news station into the evening with traffic updates etc, as well as fox news coverage.

Maybe Vegans will have to turn to the Hiway stations for news and traffic?

I thought Heidi Harris said she would still have some news people during her time slot?

I wonder if the other station will use the same tactic they use to help Mark Levine compete with Savage,
"no racist radio, just the great one Mark Levin?" Maybe they'll call Heidi a racist? after all her initials are "HH"
which is "88", the eighth letter of the alphabet and used by ayrian groups to signify praise for a German Politician of the 30's. and "Heidi" is a German name too...

I got it: "don't rise to racism, just tune to the 'mourning' source.."

(Of course Stock was the best of buds with Savage when he was doing fill in work on KSFO where Savage was a local host. )

I was wrong, the news station has a promo saying : "There is us and there is HER" and then the sound of a barking yip dog... do they mean Heidi or Laura Ingram? oh well at least they didn't call her a racist, just implied she was a "female dog" I guess there is a word for that... I thought Allan and Heidi were friends?, of course I thought Allan and Savage were friends...such professional competition from the land of conservative talk radio! I love it!

Alan and Heidi friends...that's funny. KDWN got rid of news people and probably still has more than KXNT. It's all a matter of presentation.

maybe the: "then there's her" "arf, arf, arf," (dog barking sound) refers to Dr. Laura? HH, Laura Ingram, Dr. Laura... I don't know who they are referencing their "mean spirited" promotion for their line-up. Kdwn is so down in the dumps, I don't know why they are worried about it?

When the station manager refered to Savage as a "racist" - I didn't hear Stock defend him, even though they were very chummy at ksfo, of course the "r" word is thrown around in reference in Limbaugh.

Ok, I stand corrected, that station is right, HH sounds like a barking dog, I'm glad Mr. Stock's station pointed that out to me. (some friend?)
