No more KPIG for Chico

mappleton is the worst small market radio company ever, they shouldn't of dropped club 96.7 in the first place, and they should of went top 40 or rhythmic chr more than a fm talk station, this station will not work either

KZFR in Chico is out-pigging the pig - so to speak. People will always choose something local over a similar format that's brought in from somewhere else. So I'm not surprised. I always wondered why they didn't put the KPIG format on their 107.5 up there. At least it would have given them a rim-shot signal to Sacramento with a unique format, plus they could keep the "107-oink-five" moniker.

Why can't KZAP flip to CHR/Pop (Top-40)? Since, Chico doesn't have a Top-40 or Rhythmic outlet. Plus, Chico is a college party town.

KZAP was CHR before they were the pig, IIRC. My guess is that didn't work either.

KZAP (Club 96.7) was Rhythmic Top 40, it was Urban leaning though.
