No more multimillion dollar prizes at B98.5

After so many years, B98.5 has discontinued its multimillion dollar giveaway ($12 million this spring). They are now only giving away $100 top prize twice an hour (8-5).

I know it has been years since someone has won the top prize. I wonder if rising insurance premiums were the reason.
 
I would guess inusrance had something to do with it.

But, in my mind.. the listeners will like lots of little giveaways, more chances for them to win comapred to one big giveaway only one person can win.
 
If memory serves, that contest was so elaborate no one could ever win it. Didn't you have to have the right birthday, then the correct last four of your SSN and then your shoe size had to be less then the number of songs played in the 11am hour in order to even be qualified?

What a tick, giving listeners $100 per hour, is B98.5 using that as a way to keep winning the hotly contested election for most listened to station at work?
