Is there something funny about a guy/gal on a radio discussion board making fun of people on radio discussion boards. As far as losing our faves on Sunday... lets just hope these stations are here at all in some form in a year. They have messed this thang up.

Do you notice anyone making fun of people on the radio boards?

First time I heard Dick Bartley 20 years ago I thought, "Yeah, he's okay. Take him or leave him.". I went downtown to visit my friends, who were having beer and crabs, listening to Dick Bartley and laughing like all get out. I asked what was so funny, and I remember the answer, "He's kicking a--, that's what. We're with him.". Since then I have listened to Dick Bartley. I think you'll enjoy him. I always have.

i think you're fisrt impression of Dick Bartley was correct, and your friends were probably drunk. Dick Bartley is somewhat boring, but the music is still good!

I'm not so sure the world has to be in a constant state of excitement, confusion or turmoil. Maybe my friends were drunk, though they did not seem to be; but they stayed with him week after week, month after month, year after year, partying or otherwise. He's a radio man, and a good one. Perhaps as a hall of famer and winner of other awards whatever he has is what works.

I will miss listening to Norm N. Nite live from the Rock Hall...he had a great show with a ton of info on each song, not only that, but like many others, he too has had a nice career at WCBS for over 35 years...he will always be considered a "Radio Great" in my book---thanks Norm or should I say "Mr. Music"---hope to hear you on WCBS soon---all the best and Rock On my radio friend!!!

The Top 20 took a big hit when they lost Jeff. He really put his heart and soul into it, did great production, and researched to make it really informative.

The Radio Greats had gone downhill as of late, because the jocks seemed to be playing close to the regular playlist. In the past, they seemed to have free reign. So not such a big loss.

It's really sad they've now eliminated both shows entirely. And with the specialty weekends going "K-Earth style" (i.e. only every 4th or 5th song fits the theme) I now see no real reason to tune in this station. Sad.

Radio used to be both lucrative AND creative. Now it is....uh.....neither!

Norm is still on Sirius if you pay for it.

Dick Bartley sounds pretty good. It's good that he got away from Citadel so that he could spread his wings and soar again;and it's not like you are listening to ancient, retread material. It's a newly produced program each week.

I wish we could hear Bartley in Chicago, but nobody carries him here.

Ron Parker put his heart and soul out for the Countdown!! I liked Jeff but when we lost him, Ron was Great!! I really did not care for it, I watched tv when it was on.

You have it made and don't know it.

An speaking of CBS-FM's "Radio Greats", there are other jocks that do not appear on the future Sunday night show is Cousin Brucie. I love Bruce Morrow so much, he was one of my all time favorite jock. He was on CBS-FM every Saturday night for years. I'm so disappointed that Brucie did not do a "Radio Greats" show on CBS-FM. What a bummer!

:) Cousin B does Sirius now, He has always been a Radio great to me. If you don't have siriusxm, get it, its Great!! He does a wed live and a sat live show and sunday the wed one repeats. Sirius may not let him do the Radio Greats, who knows!
