No-name newscasts at WNTY/W241CG

What is the source of the unbranded world/national newscast at the top of the hour on this station? I caught part of the name of the newscaster this afternoon. He got out "This is Chaz Hen-" before being cut off by a station jingle. Henderson? Henry? Hendricks? Henning? Anyone know where these generic newscasts originate?

It's Chaz Henry.

The idea was for stations to be able to pawn these newscasts off as "local" or at least locally branded, instead of having an obviously-national "CNN News Radio" brand.

In reality, I've only ever heard these newscasts on stations who are either owned by Cumulus, or who take one of the Westwood One 24/7 formats. I would be curious to listen to a station which uses these generic newscasts in a "localized" manner.

Listen at koololdiesradio.net during the daytime, which is when they use the generic newscasts. Pretty sure they don't geoblock, especially since they promote listening "worldwide" via the internet on air.

That newscast is not from CBS. It may be "CBS News", but again, it's WW1 owned. The no-name newscasts you mentioned replaced NBC News Radio (and before that, CNN Radio) on 1/1/15.

No, CBS News Radio is owned and produced by CBS, and distributed by WW1.
