No new coverage maps from FCC TV Query website?

I called up a map which had this notice on top:

NOTICE: On May 27, 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau permanently ceased operation of its Tiger mapping service. Maps for FM or TV applications filed after that date cannot be generated. We are exploring alternatives.

Tiger census maps generated before May 27, 2010 that were stored on the FCC's servers will remain available but cannot be regenerated.

mostly when i go to the fcc site, radio locator or 100,000 watts.com. i usually like to look at the maps of radio and tv stations. i wonder why the fcc site doesn't have the am station maps and radio locator does the am stations maps. it will be missed.

If you need the FCC contour maps, I have those available on RabbitEars but overlaid on Google Maps. Expand out Technical Data and click on the channel number for the facility in question.
