No new LA FM Country Station?

This was posted on the "Vent" message board on 10/25 at All About Country.com. Take it for what it's worth...

"Word came down today that CC LA has nixed a plan that would have brought Country radio back to LA only months after Emmis switched formats on 93.9 KZLA. Many options were looked at including Star and KBIG but "higher-ups" have decided that switching either of those properties would not be a viable business move at any time in the near or foreseeable future. Look for Star to continue its "evolution" and KBIG to make some major tweaks in the coming weeks and months."

I'd agree with it. Thanks to some of the country fans who've come over to Star.

K-BIG has only been making "major tweaks" for about 5 years... Bar none, the worst sounding contemporary radio station in ANY major market. It makes logical sense to flip them to Country.
