I'm surprised nobody has posted anything. I've noticed these type of posts have gotten smaller and smaller.

98.5 The Beat in SA has kicked off New Year's Megamix featuring Dr. Pepper 10 Rottweiler Squad DJ's. The mixes are primarily Hip Hop but they also mix Dance music ;D.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Btw, the largest New Year's celebration in Texas is held in San Antonio. Over 250,000 will be in downtown SA.

Unfortunately, this year, New Years eve is on a Saturday night, so no one is really forced to do anything extra or out of the ordinary, or go any longer than their usual timing. Maybe extra stations that don't normally mix may decide to do something for the night, but that's about it.

Fortunately, next year is a leap year, so New Years eve in 2012 for New Year 2013 will be on a Monday night instead of Sunday. So, if the world doesn't end beforehand, a lot of stations may mix Friday night into Tuesday. If 2012 wasn't a leap year, New Years Eve would've fallen on Sunday next year.

As far as I know so far, here in Dallas/Ft. Worth, 97.9 The Beat is kicking off their mixing at 5pm Saturday. Smooth R&B 105.7 is going commercial-free with their old school mixing.

Guess 97.9 The Beat decided to start mixing earlier than what they announced.

Phoenix is being lame. It's like it's Christmas! Regularly scheduled programming.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. KZON, of course, is being the leader in starting some type of action.

Anything at this point is nothing spectacular really. It's already after 9pm west coast time. Anybody could just start mixing now. Even the new rhythmic oldies KYOT EVA 95.5 is mixing for the first time right now...

But we'll see who goes all day tomorrow! That would be something.

KPWR Power 106, KJLH, KDAY, AMP Radio, KIIS FM and KXOL are mixing. I'm surprised that KJLH is extending their Mixdown because they're usually playing gospel on Sundays. The mixes are sounding lively.

KAMP Mixed?!? ??? I guess it's true that the wonders of this world never cease!

What exactly did they mix and for how long? I checked the KAMP log all the way back to about 1:30am and none of the songs played were in an order where they were possible to be mixed. Did they do some relatively short mixshow for a few hours, or did they start earlier yesterday then end it super early in the morning?

Look like LA did it big for NYE!

Wait... are you sure that KAMP mixed?? As in 97.1 AMP Radio?? I don't believe that.

I wasn't listening but I'm sure they were mixing. I was listening to KJLH until 2:20am so I was up super late. KJLH's mix wasn't bad, they were playing songs they on the radio heard in a minute such as Lucy Perald's Dance Tonight, Janet Jackson Featuring Khia So Exicted, Lil' Mo Featuring Fabolus 4-Ever, Mary J. Blige Featuring Method Man Love @ First Sight, etc.
