No one is talking about the ratings that just came out well..

I will start feel free to join in if not reading is all good first off

i see how the fox is doing pretty well considering there signal but it sounds better and the reception is better i just wish they would quit voicetracking and go back live.

but also it appears all the advertising lrs has done does not seem to make that big a difference in there numbers well they have themselves to blame for that first off the flip was poorly executed they should have rebranded the station hired all new talent well cleaned hosue is what they should have done.

I see how whas was on top isn't wamz usually number one. hopefully cox radio will get there act together and do what needs to be done with there new country station. As much as they hate to if they want there gamble to pay off they need live talent added a good morning show not just bragging how they have fewer commercials then wamz. I like the new classic country not bad.

Wgtk doing pretty well i expect them to have a good run with the election this year.

I really enjoy the Saturday programs on WGTK.

I wish 101.3 played more R&B and less classic soul.

Will 1450 ever show up with all ESPN programming?

those are 12+ numbers the don't mean anything..

101.3 is a horribly programmed radio station -- bad seagues, not direction -- they and B96 win by default...

1450 -- BLAH

It's about time there was some Urban competition here in the Louisville market...I agree with the "winning by default" comment in the previous post. Perhaps WMJM/Magic 101.3's drop in their 12+ numbers will shake them up. Despite the sale to Mainline and the presence of two very good announcers in Mitchell and Jherard, WMJM is still just too predictable and unchanged for several years now.

Personally, I think the station is stale-sounding, too ballad-heavy and repetitive. A considerably broader playlist with more 70's and 80's upbeat cuts and funk would really freshen up the sound. And they shouldn't totally dismiss the 60's as they do, either-after all, R&B in all its sub-genres has the greatest, deepest repository of oldies of any format. USE that richness to enhance the playlist and cut back on the repetitiveness and boring predictability.

WMJM should dump the old Radio One "one size fits all markets" Urban AC formatics and put some thump in the station! You don't work for Cathy Hughes anymore, so "The Quiet Storm" can go bye-bye now and turn up the tempo at night, OK? The XM classic soul channels and ABC's "The Touch" are much better, with deeper playlists than Magic 101.3.

The fox is here on ninety three one where they just like to have some fun not as much as long ago for they were at one hundred point five truth be told louie came in and kicked them out but ninety three one would not pout for they knew they had a fight on there hand with lrs and all that clan alternative or active which would it be lrs does not know one or three then take ben and kelly at djx they just like to cause some heck but on that 102.3 called the max arron linda and george need to pick up the slack reunion weekends and tag id's i bet they sure aim to please for once the max was lrs 102 and now a bunch of peeps are blue to kick off lrs from that frequency did not make people jump with glee heritage is now out the door but watch what you do ratings could hit the floor

Somebody buy this guy some punctuation. And maybe a few caps.

In response to a private message sent me...my prior comments about WMJM should in no way be interpreted as support for anything like the abominable, late and UN-lamented "Jammin' Oldies" format! I just think that Magic 101.3 needs a good Urban AC re-working. Keep TJMS and the local announcers by all means, but broaden those Urban AC Currents and Classic Soul playlists ASAP. Shake off the Radio One programming philosophy and move foward with Mainline.

If I were asked what I'd bring in to compete, I'd say Urban Oldies in a heartbeat...out-flanking WMJM with a much deeper playlist of golds only, restoring elements of the great personality R&B/Soul announcer style in my air staff, and picking up much of the former WRKA listenership while I'm at it. All while delivering a more mature, multicultural audience (R&B oldies crossover into the most ethnic and demographic groups) with solid purchasing power to the advertiser. Back to the future, baby!

(Now if I can just find somebody who sounds like "John R" and get rid of these baby chicks and this hair pomade!)

I dont know ifyou can call Leesa and Tim "2 very good announcers".. Leesa is great doing AC and oldies, but, she's trying too hard on WMJM.. and Tim, ughh cheesy liner reader
